But I've been thinking about the tangibility of things — slowing down, switching off. And I wondered if anyone else felt the same.
So on Wednesday 10 June, during Great Big Green Week, I'm going to switch off, go outside with a pen and a card, and write something. And I wondered if anyone wanted to do the same and and then we post each other the card. Via The Slow Post.
A few of people also thought this sounded like a good idea, so I thought I better follow through. So here we are.
It's a small experiment. A pause. A moment to step away from the screen and do something with your hands. To connect with someone else in a simple, tangible way.
You can take part in a few ways, in spirit, actually posting physical cards, or sharing photos of your creations.
No wrong choice. Pick whatever fits. You can tell us when you sign up.
Just join the pause. Switch off, go outside, write something — keep it for yourself. No matching, no posting required.
Get paired with someone and send them your card through the actual post. You'll receive one back.
Anywhere in the world — take part by sharing a photo of what you made instead of a physical card.
